Well Ladies and Gentlemen (my lovely supporters) I GOT MY BLUE PARKING BADGE. Unusually I had to go to work today. Tuesday's are normally a rest day working from home but I had to attend a Management Meeting. My Husband phoned me just after lunch to say that I had been approved. Postman Pat has never been more welcome even though he does run late I was in the main sales office when I took the call and I whooped, laughed and then started crying. The whole Sales office ground to a halt and thought I had won the Euro lottery and then realised it was a Tuesday!! I am absolutely stunned that a three minute assessment showed that I was eligible. All I can say is that if you need someone to talk about RA and all its glories in three minutes, I'm your gal Paula - Now all my crossed fingers and toes are yours and hope that you also get the same outcome. Thank you all for your support and now I am going to plan my first weekend out this year. Jackie xx

Thank you all. I have used my blue parking badge three times now in the week since I had it. It has been a great blessing. I must admit though it has been difficult in some places to actually get a place. The blue parking badge brigade do seem to like to shop early at Tescos. When I went in there were loads of spaces, by the time I came out at 8.30 a.m. all the spaces were filled. Obviously those with a disability do not like to lie in I have had to pace myself as I went out two day's running for half an hour around the shops each time and then had to take to my bed, but it was so worth it for some independence and freedom. Jackie xx

I know how you felt getting the badge i was like a kid in a candy store, went mad and then had to rest up, but i got to the SALES at last go girl. and yes the blue badges get up very early here too, i learned very quickley, worse when schools out for summer as grandparents get shopping before babysitting times.
